IPC-A-610 is a theoretical course that can strengthen productivity and competitiveness in a time when customers require compliance with IPC's internationally recognized standards.
On this certification the participants get an understanding of the way the standard is built and will be able to make an objective assessment of approval or rejection according to IPC classifications 1, 2 and 3. Passing the theoretical exam, a certificate will be issued, stating that the participant is a “Certified IPC Specialist” (CIS).
The certificate is valid for two years.
The certification is based on IPC-A-610, 'Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies',.

The certification is specifically aimed at production engineers, quality assurance engineers, designers and operators who are required to - or would like to - demonstrate a documentable knowledge of the requirements in IPC-A-610.
