How do we define the correct requirements for PCB manufacturers? Do you buy PCBs outside Denmark? Does the quality always meet your expectations?

If you are considering switching from PERFAG's print specifications to IPC's internationally known specifications, it is important to know the content of these standards. Furthermore, it is important to be aware of which requirements are essential in order to achieve the PCB quality that is necessary for the product you are producing. On a daily basis, disagreements between PCB manufacturers and customers occurs because these requirements are not defined precisely.

The course provides knowledge of the issues that are essential for the qualification of PCBs. Participants will also have the opportunity to prepare requirement specifications for their own products. The standards PERFAG 1E, PERFAG 2F, PERFAG 3D, IPC-A-600, IPC-6010 series, IPC-SM-840 and IPC-4101 are used as a basis.

The course will, among other subjects, be focusing on these main topics:

• Plating quality
• Panelization
• Bow and twist
• Mechanical tolerances (hole diameter)
• Marking
• Electricity test

• Construction you own PCB specification
